Bottle, from Lidl. Straw gold, vast fluffy pillows of white foam, quickly thinning to a dense sheen, insistent condition. Estery sweet notes with a slightly oxidized note, biscuits and honey, and a gentle spiciness in the nose. Sweet in the mouth with low undercurrents of yeast and esteriness, some hints of grain and a warming alcohol note, a gentle spicy bitterness and a light grapefruit citrus tang cuts the sweetness a little. Finish is estery and sweetly sticky with lots of retronasal alcohol, faintly metallic, and with a gentle spicy bitterness lingering.

Bottle. Lidl. Hazy, honeyed gold. Frothy, lasting, white head. Nice hoppage to this, among the barley sugar malts. Bit of apricot and grapefruit and such. Taste is sweet and yeasty. Some soft bitterness. Mouthfeel is foamy and full. A tad boozy, maybe. Some tooth numbing going on. Finishes a little dry, with a lingering hop bitterness. Tasty gear, not far off a complete winner. Lidl did good with this set of beers.

Bottle. Pale yellow, almost watery color, clear liquid, white head. Smell of banana. Aroma of banana, whiskey, oak, smoke, alcohol. Taste is medium bitter. Pleasant.

Tsja, triple is een triple, deze valt in de middenmoot. Zoetjes met bitter, fruit en prikkels. Lekkere kraag.

Bottle - pale straw yellow with high carbonation but small white head which quickly goes leaving just slight lacing round side. Alcoholic lemony aroma. Heavy ting on tongue / mouth. Lemony tasting but too fizzy for me and high alcoholic feel.

0.33l bottle. Little sour aroma (like at wheat beers). Golden-yellow colour with turbidity right under the top. Confusing bitter taste with sourness and alcohol end. Overall, this is my first and last bottle as well.

Citroengele kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig, mout, kruiden, zwaar. Smaakt zoetig, zwaar, alcohol. Zwaien zoet.

I found this to be an excellent Belgian Tripel. Picture perfect pour thatís a bright sunshine yellow. Mild aroma. Just enough sweetness to steal any bitter away. Iíll drink this one again. Iím baffled by the low rating here.

330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Looks: Translucent golden colour with a thin ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive three finger head with lasting crumpety white foam; Beautiful sticky lacking and fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant and quite sweet Pils malt, with banana, vanilla, caramel, quite strong alcohol, sugar, bubblegum, earth, bread, strong Bel yeast, lemon and light grass.

Taste: Close to strong sweet malt, with caramel, toffee, quite strong alcohol, fair liquorices, shades of dark fruits, sugar, earth, spices, bread, strong Bel yeast, lime, moderate bitter hops and grass.

Body: Full body. Thick and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Good Pils maltyness in a slick and very smooth background. Quite alcoholic but its taste doesnít scream that much, some comfy warmth and light liquorices. Thatís nice! Other tastes are quite monotone with just caramel and toffee, not much fruity ester here. Sweetness is strong but not quite cloying, good earth and spiciness. Bready with nice lime to round. Simple but good!

Hoppiness: Lemon and light grass in nose. Lime, spice, and grass in taste; Bitterness, mixed with liquorices is moderate for a lasting, close to strong astringent sweet bitter finish.

After Taste: Quite dry. Sweet and fairly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one has excellent looks and heads, good fruity aroma, nice sweetness and well managed booze. Taste wise, thereís a little lack of esters and can be more bold in hoppiness. Drinkable but it can do better to be top!
