kevd193213 (477), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA Aug 29, 2009 750 mL bottle. Golden, slightly cloudy pour with a massive white fizzy head. Aroma of bananas, yeast and faint spices. Taste of Belgian yest, citrus and coriander, with a nice full clean finish. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2009 ENORMOUS head; nose is fruity and strong alcohol, which flows into the flavor. This beer grew on me as I drank, and the hops linger almost as a bitter/dry feeling rather than an obvious taste... complex! cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 12, 2009 Bottle in Stammie De garre... crisp clear yellow amber ... thin white head ... sharp yeasty hop nose with some peach ... soft fruits ... little dry ... little cready jzzbassman (838), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Jul 29, 2009 Poured a pale orange with a sticky white large head. Phenolic, cantaloupe, and a bit of pepper to the aroma. Citric, sweet, a bit off-putting in the carbonation department. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2009 Bottle sampled at the Belgian tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 7/17/09. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a huge off-white head. Citrusy and tart aroma that I don’t think was intended along with some sweet malt. Might be a little infected. Grape and lemon flavor up front with some sugar and booze in the finish. Bigmmartin (366), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2009 Bright yellow, huge fizzy white head that just wont go away. Strong smell of yeast and fruit. Flavor is stronger that most triples. Heavy burning carbonation. Sharp, finish with heavy alcohol present. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA Jun 28, 2009 bottle
Pours a dull, mildly hazy light amber color, half inch of tight white head, active carbonation keeps it around, and leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma shows some boozy, sugary phenols, sweet fruit, some spice, and an odd almost-sour earthiness. Flavor starts with lots of spice, healthy coriander bite, crisp sweet fruity phenols. Some spicy bitterness on the end. Palate is crisp and sharp, with lots of carbonation- maybe a bit too much. Overall, a good and interesting brew- but all the flavors just never seem to get together and work as well as they could. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 22, 2009 Light yellow honey with a thin lasting soft white foam. Very fruity aroma, bubblegum, pears, apples. Taste is sweet fruit, pear, apple, more light sweet malts and a honey fruit and bubblegum finish.
