gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 15, 2007 Updated: Sep 16, 2007(33 cl bottle) Shady golden color, fluffy white head. Acidic, spicy, fluffy white head. Acidic, spicy, fruity and alcohol scent. Spicy spritzy alcohol taste. Smooth and full mouthfeel. ENGLISH TEXT HERE 33cl bottle, bought at Auchan in Roncadelle (BS), labeled "Old Buccaneer Reserve"; color is clear gold with candid and big adherent head, aroma strongly alcohol and citrus, malty flavour with an aggressive alcohol content which concentrates in the final and covers the sourness of hops (this doesn’t prevent the finale to be very dry, as the style suggests). A rather conventional proposal, which resembles - more than to a tripel - to the infamous blond ale du boucanier toned down a pair of abv grades. That pair which makes it a bit less monstruous and a bit more enjoyable in the mouth; anyway quite raw and goofy. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 8, 2007 Pours a golden cloudy color with some head. Smell is distinct with a acidic citrus edge. Taste starts off with a deep malty flavor and then moves on to a bit of alcohol. There is a lasting flavor that stays with you, but nothing that I feel is worth going back to. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Bornem Tripel

Hansen (2235), Randers, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 Yellow and unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is sharp, pepper, alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet. Fizzy carbonation. Moderate alcoholic. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 17, 2007 Bottle (old buccaneer). Pours a big white foam which slowly reveals a clear yellow liquid under the huge head. Slightly sour fruity aroma with spicy & grainy notes. Taste is grainy and a bit dusty with a light bitterness. Beltramelli (471), Campinas, Brazil Aug 15, 2007 Bottle, 330 ml. Golden coloration, with a enormous white head, consistent and persistent. Citric notes, with a bitter and acid palate and a dry final. High carbonation. Perceivable alcohol. Medium body. It´s a different tripel.
BREWMUSKCLES (1062), New Jersey, USA Aug 15, 2007 smooth, slick and vibrantly carbonated with a chemical hop tingle. it has a winey aroma. interestingly different there is a semi/strong alcohol presense made stronger with the green apple flavor that is sweetish and tartly strong. a good beer to pair with a difficult food? i think so! the spices are peppery and strong (again tingly). touch of banana and wheat to bring it down to earth.
