Quaffed respectfully at room temperature. Misty gold with hissing bathfoam suds. Metallic gooseberry snout. Heady apricot fruitiness, warming boozy malt and bitter hops, with a surprisingly mellow banana wheatiness sticking around long after the swallow. Intriguingly fruity and well-rounded Tripel. (sampled as Maerlant Tripel, De Kuppe, 31/12/07) Spruce, vanilla and pils-like graininess. Aromatic juicy citrus, lemon rind, possibly juniper. Bit of an odd custardy note. Quite stinging and dry. Nice.

Nice suprise in this Belgian! The pour was a hazy gold with a head that was there even after I finished the beer. The aroma was weak but was yeast with some fruitiness to it. The taste was different...yeast, honey and light fruits with a spicy and slight hop aftertaste. Nice!

Cloudy yellow with good amount of head. Honey and banana with hint of wet straw in aroma. Decent triple

Poured a slightly yellow colour with a large white head. Not bad, i’ve had better Tripels. Spicy, fruity(lots of banana), and a prominent taste of alchohol.

This on pours more of the yelloish color. Decent head,. This was not what i expected after having the other two from this pack. MAybe jsut a let down from thsoe but still an underwhelming brew. Nothing bad, jsut nothing great. It was a decent Belgian

330 ml bottle. I love the bottle shape on these beers, which is unfortunately one of the few redeeming qualities of this beer. Pours a nearly clear gold with a moderate, white fluffy head that lasted until I poured my glass down the sink. Aroma of wet straw, kind of stale actually, along with a bit of honey. Flavor was sickly sweet. Not excessively sweet, but sweet like in a rotting fruit kind of way that makes you seek out the Pepto Bismol to keep it nearby just in case. Lots of alcohol as well. Long, dry, acrid finish. This stuff was pretty bad. After about half an hour, down the drain it went.

33 cl bottle. Muddy/dirty yellow colour, fast fading white head. Pretty nasty and limpid looking really. Decent aroma, light Belgian malt, a touch of honey, wheat, and apricot/peach. The fruitiness has an overripened character that seems a bit too close to rotting to be really impressive. Light clove and a touch of mintiness. Flavour are similar with a bit of metallic character. Lightly cidery on the finish. Doesn’t really do it for me.

Cloudy golden body with a two-finger tall white head. Aroma of bananas and alcohol. Sweet fruits up front with hops becoming evident in the piney finish. Interesting.
