Significant microhead flows up in a cone -- turns soap-bubbly in appearance as it gradually subsides. Bread and hay notes. Fizzy and dry with some lemon and apple -- a lasting alcoholic finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2006 The cork on this one popped like champagne. Pours cloudy light amber with a big head. Aroma is slightly citrusy. Flavor is citrus and sweet with a bit of an alcohol presence. A good beer, but not nearly as complex as many triples. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Pours a hazy yellow with an enormous fluffy white head. The nose is that Belgian sourness with a fruity citrusy twang. There’s a light sweetness and a hint of alcohol/cleaning solution. The palate is about average, though the carbonation is a bit high and the body is a bit slippery. The flavor is a bit better than the aroma. Sour tart lemon and apple with a light sweetness and rather obvious alcohol. Yeast funk is a bit forward. Also som carrot thrown in there. The finish is dry with big tart and funky yeast flavors. Hints of cloves linger. Not bad, but not spectacular. tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Color is not super appealing- pale yellow, but it has an enormous white fluffy head. Its aroma and flavor are fruity, citrusy, hoppy, a bit sour, with apples. Its not bad, but its also not something I think I’ll have again. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Couldn’t even pour the whole beer in the glass. Cool bottle, but heavier than must 12 oz. bottles. Pours a bright straw color with a huge white. Lively carbonation. Aroma is fruit and alcohol. Has a sweet fruit taste. Medium to full body. Has a lingering dry finish. Not bad. Thanks Scott. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Poured a semi-cloudy golden with lots of bubbles and a semi-fizzy off-white head. Somewhat faint aroma of sweet citrus fruit and dry alcohol. Flavor is dry and fruity, with notes of grapes and oranges with some light hops leading into a fairly dry finish. Light fizzy and refreshing body. Not half bad, but not pronounced enough to stand up against superior tripels.
