ratman197 (3137), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 19, 2009 Bottle poured a clear gold with a large lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, yeast, light pear and light spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, yeast, light fruittiness and light spice with a smooth lightly sweet finish. Fairly ho-hum for a triple. cyrenaica (435), Milton, Ontario, Canada May 15, 2009 330ml bottle

I tried this beer on May 7, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy golden colour with a 1/2" thick white head that lasted. The aroma was grainy malt, peppery spice, and citrusy notes. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was grassy malt, some bitter spicy tones and pepper.
djd07 (721), Houston, Texas, USA May 14, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear yellow golden with a small off white head that diminishes quickly. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is a strong clove and banana with citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a very sweet fruit with orange peel, banana and a dry finish. A decent tripel from Brouwerji. Frovigalning (388), , Sweden Apr 27, 2009 Bottle (Old Buccaneer). It poured a clear golden liquid with a huge foam and a nice lacing. The smell had a hint of orange and a fruit, sweet taste with a hint of corn. An average tripel. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 25, 2009 Average tripel. Pours light tan with a frothy head. Warm and strong, but dry overall flavors. Lightly spicy, but no definitive palate. kuphish (150), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Apr 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a smallish, frothy white head and a clear, brilliant golden body. Malty aroma of grain and hay with some bread. Doughy yeast component and herbal, grassy hops. Light alcohol on the nose. The flavor was dominated by the sweet malt with some light bitterness and quite a bit of booze. Enough alcohol flavor to seriously detract from my enjoyment of the beer. Piraat and Gulden Draak did a much better job hiding the alcohol and they had 1.5% more. Overall a pretty raw and mediocre triple. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2009 Bottle. This beer pours a very pale, transparent yellow in the glass with a large, thick, foaming white head. The carbonation is medium. In the aroma I smell lemon, doughy bread with butter, lime, alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium in body. I taste a whole lot of lemon with some grassy hops, a moderate bitterness, alcohol, more citrus; sadly there’s a bit of a metallic flavour in the finish. michael-pollack (2601), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 3, 2009 330ml Bottle: Aroma of pale malts, grassy, earthy hops, and light yeast. Poured gold in color with a small white head that lasted as a film on top of the beer. Very slightly hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of pale malts, grains, grassy hops, slight yeast, and a hint of fruit. Light body. Lightly chalky texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, lightly bitter, medium-dry finish. 9%ABV is well hidden.
