2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 EithCubes (3053) - GERMANY - MAY 11, 2007
Bottle. Sweet yeasty aroma with fruit and spice. Touch of cow. Clear yellow body with a violently fizzy large white head. Carbonation is too fierce, even for a tripel. Sweetish and peppery, good deal of spices. Apple juice and yeast with some gritty and very (generically) fruity spice. Alcohol detracts more from its off-flavor than its presence. Big bite from a medium body. Dry, lightly tart, and ciderish aftertaste.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 muenster (345) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is strong on juicy pear, also some darker fruit notes that manage to blend with the high alcohol aroma to make an almost champagne-like aroma. Hmm, interesting. Flavor is a bit spicy, full of dark fruit notes, mild cheese, pears, and sweet maltiness. The mouthfeel is very juicy and slightly warm in the finish from the alcohol. The carbonation level is medium/low, and feels just about right. Somehow this manages to still come across as a thirst quencher, rather than a treasure.
3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 JFURYCAT (990) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 24, 2007
Aroma is sweet and promising, offering bananas, lemons, some hops and warm alcohol. The flavor has some of these qualities but seems way too bitter and sour for me with an almost peppery clove sensation happening. The alcohol is not well hidden so this could be why. It started with a big head and eventually settled to a lacing. I do appreciate the dry aftertaste and detect some luscious fruits there-it makes me want to sip this quickly.
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Drink4Satan (666) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - APR 15, 2007
Looks like a wit in my trappist glass. There are a lot of particulates to noticed. Smells like a white sangrea. Very fruity, spicy and alcoholic nose. The taste is equally alcoholic, but not as fruity as the scent. It’s very yeasty and acidic with a decent amount of clove and other spices. As many other belgians, the carbonation is just brutal, yet the mouthfeel is still somewhat smooth, especially in the finish. The finish is long, and certainly dry. This is mediocre triple that I wouldn’t go out of my way to get. And there is no lacing at all.

This beer pours an alright head and it has a really potent fruity and boozy smell to it. There is a nice golden color with some yeast particles in it. I taste a hint of some fruit mainly and there is some strong carbonation to it. There is also the sweet golden taste.

Banana and spices. Hazy golden brown in color. Medium palate with plenty of carbonation. Taste is lots of belgian yeast and caramel malt with some banana and light spices.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 harrisoni (9608) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2007
33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Clear gold colour with thick white head. Slightly cereally alcoholic tripel. Decent hop on finish. Alcohol is a little syrupy. Bit dull.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a tulip glass, cloudy golden with a lot of floaters and a small white head. Aroma was faint with a hint of perhaps apple. Taste was of sour apples with a big alcohol bite. Slight bitterness. Not for me.
