roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 15, 2006 Pours a medium yellow color with a small amount of white head. Aroma is sweet, orangey, and caramel. Flavor is very very sweet and bananay. Overall, not that great. cbrixius (136), Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 14, 2006 Bottle. Poured an excessive white foamy head. Nice golden, cloudy color. Sweet apple aroma, but did not taste as sweet as it smelled. Dry character. Maybe not one of the best in this class, but a drinkable beer nonetheless. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium Jan 12, 2006 Nice bottle. Huge, rocky head. Bleak yellowish hue, lots of bubbles in the body. Aroma of fruits, orange peels, spices, caramel, sugar. Light bodied, spicy and sweet taste, with lemons, fruits and sweetness. Warm, long-lasting fruity finish. JayBaxter (386), Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Jan 8, 2006 Pours with one massive head, has a lovely alcoholic and slightly sweet (cakey) aroma. Taste is sweet/sour and the 9% is there....but i enjoyed it. HomesickAlien (20), Michigan, USA Jan 7, 2006 One of the worst triples I’ve had. Light gold with thin white head, fizzy. Aromas of apple and alcohol. There’s hints of some interesting flavors in there, but I couldn’t get past the sugar. Far too sweet, and not in a good way. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Jan 2, 2006 impressive head w/ cloudy light yellowish hue. it has floral aroma that is both sweet and mild. spiced, this brew has enough bitterness, though maybe there is still to much unfermented sugar for my taste. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 25, 2005 Light golden ale with a thin white silky head. Aroma of pears and coriander. Sweet spiced malt with coriander notes, a rather light triple, without much character. Enjoyed at YEHa!05 Christmas Party on Dec. 17th, 2005. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 20, 2005 Champagne-like yellow golden, complete with minuscule efferverscent bubbles.
Lots of complex alcohols, solvent, fusel, gasoline...and apricots macerated in gin. With my eyes blindfolded, you could have told me this stuff is used to fuel racecars and I wouldn’t call bullshit on you.
Light in body but high in octane. I’ve never actually drank paint thinner before, but I have a feeling it woulod be similar to this. Maybe this style didn’t do it for me, but I thought it was a little unidimentional. You got to bring something else than just moonshine if you want to get me to like a tripel.
