33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Golden colour with a huge fizzy head. Sweet spicy aroma with notes of yeast and alcohol too. Sweet malty flavour with notes of spice, yeast alcohol and ends up little sour.

Strawberries, bananas, cherries and kiwi in the pleasantly fruity, yeasty nose. Hazy golden body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled, white head that lasts throughout. Yeast character is strong - cake dough and plenty of berry like fruits with some candy sugar, honey, leafy (parsley-like) hops and mild finishing bitterness. Sweet nutty flavour lingers pleasantly in the aftertaste. Medium body is quite dry with lively carbonation that engages the tongue and mild alcohol warming. How does this get rated so low? Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Bottle (BB 04/02/06, Bieropholie, Apr-05).

Orangey, dark yellow with a big, white fizz that drops to a thin cover. Clots of yeast (I decided to pour in the yeast). Lemonade aroma with a touch of horseblanket and sweet candy mixed with straight up malt aroma--excellent. Notes of celery. Flavour: Considerable amount of alcohol and higher alcohols along with a candy oxidized character. Nice fruity accents: pineapple, peach, grape. Very low bittering and a bit woody. High carbonation, light body, sweet finish.

Slightly oxidized and astringent upfront. Very fast dissipating head with good initial release of gasses. Sulfur and vanilla nose with a touch of grassy hop character. Overly soft with little depth on the palate. Candy sugar prominence and some malt astringency give way to a relatively clean and unlively finish.

Bottle. Nice cloudy golden body with lively carbonation and a thin but lasting white foamy head. Enjoyable yeasty aroma with various light fruity (citrus, banana, cherries) notes. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Taste carries hoppy flavors which brings some sharp bitterness. The aftertaste lacks the warming effect I expect from a Tripel. This is very drinkable, although it is far from being a great Tripel.

33 cl. bottle from 1999. Dark golden, beige head. malty, yeast and fruity aroma w/ spices, liquorice, berries, sweet, bitter, fresh and sour. Mature and rich. Warming and full taste, well-balanced, sweet, feels more like a dark beer than a light one. Godd bittenress, sweetness and fizzyness. Nothing is lacking or superfluous.

Pours clear gold with a huge head and lots of effervescence. Citrus, alcohol, brine, light hops, and a bit of tartness in the aroma. The flavor is dominated by lemons, with some breadiness and a lightly hoppy finish. Not bad, actually.
