Bornem Triple
12 oz bottle
Soft pour in a tulip glass
Unknown bottling (FL 29CD 15:12), beatified 12/06
Poured a hazy straw yellow with a huge white fluffy rocky fully lasting head with excellent lacing.
Smelt of strong sweet apples, peaches, honey, herbs and light barnyard stank and white bread.
Taste was upfront strong sweet and sour apple cider with light honey and bitter grass hops followed by a strong dry bitter stale dusty cobwebs yeast with moderate honey, herbs and on a long finish. Palate was medium bodied, oily, softly carbonated, and moderately alcoholic and astringent.
Overall, it’s easy to drink and satisfyingly flavorful, pungent and stinky. In the winter time, it make me nose and fingers tingly.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 14, 2006
Pours a hazy peach like color with a thin head in a trappists glass. Aroma is yeasty with a little fruit and alcohol. Taste is sweet, and a little sour as well with a strong finish. Decent Belgian ale but the Dubbel really was better from what I remember.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 asmithbeer (42) - USA - DEC 8, 2006
Fizzy golden with lots of head. Slightly sour and fruity aroma. Light fruity flavor. Not bad.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Jerre (2166) - Waregem, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2006
330 ml bottle. Cloudy light, pale peachy-yellow with white head. Aroma is sour but then turns sweeter, almost getting a brown-sugary malty sweet aroma. Mouthfeel is soft. Flavor lightly lemony-citrus with some breadiness, sweeter malt and yeast flavor. Complex and a great palate. This beer find you in differents etikets.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 french tickler (642) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 27, 2006
Drank in a trappist glass. Golden hazy poor under a nice off-white sticky head. Aromas are floral, caramel, orange peelings and bananas. Sweet creamy feel with a nice dry finish. You can feel the alcohol. Just the right bitterness. Very well balanced. Sweet hints of caramel and citrus. Maybe a little to carbonated but stiil impressive!

Bottled(330ml). –Shared with Doggythedog at the Hopdevil in Zagreb
Clear golden coloured, huge white head, lively carbonation, dusty white wine nose. Aroma is malty, faint hoppy and slight spicy with very odd and unpleasant frozen meat touch. Certainly better than Dubbel .
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheJester (1230) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2006
330 mL bottle from LCBO gift pack. Yellow-gold with thick creamy head. The only aroma that stands out is alcohol. Taste is bitter, then sweet, then, as the ad says, a "hoppy dry long finish" (sic). Sticks to your tongue. Some banana, some yeast, some citrus, lots of alcohol. Very heavily carbonated. Lots going on, and none of it is subtle.
