turbo (1254), Arizona, USA Apr 3, 2005 Bottle poured a cloudy gold with a big thick white head.
Aroma of light fruits and lemon.
Tangy fruity flavor with a bitter spicy finish. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Mar 7, 2005 Light gold coloring witha huge head. The aroma is peaches and nutmeg. Slghtly funky barnyard in the taste. Notes of overripe peaches, nutmeg spice and some slight soap. Finishes with a slightly sour tint of lemon peel zest. The body is thick and massive feeling in the mouth. This is a drier version of the style. dornoy (679), Lyngby, Denmark Mar 4, 2005 Low white head on a dark gold body. The flavour has hints of citrus fruits, but is too sour and alcoholic. This is not a beer I’d buy again. Hairofthedog (419), San Diego, California, USA Feb 23, 2005 This beer poured a yellowish color w/ gold highlights; thin head and very thin lacing. The aroma was light fermented fruit, flowers and a hint of honey. The flavor was slightly citrus, honey, soury fermented fruit and flowers. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated. diabel (1366), Aarschot, Belgium Feb 8, 2005 Rocky, white head. Spare lace. Yellow, cloudy body. Nose of flawers, wine and a little bit alcohol. Metallic finish. Lightly bitter flavour. Earlier Rating: 2/19/2003 Total Score: 2.5 Bottled. Blond colour, sparkles of a white beer. Little sweet aroma, also yeasty. Dito flavour, also a bit 'sticky' and malt. papajohn (1054), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA Feb 1, 2005 Updated: Sep 1, 2007Slightly cloudy golden color with a generous bright white head. Aroma of sour grape and a little yeast. Flavor starts tangy and spicy with some fruity tartness (grape skin, green apple) and a lightly sour dry finish. Lively carbonation complements the flavor combination. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium Feb 1, 2005 Updated: Feb 2, 2005At restaurant Napoleon in Damme afther a fine gastronomic meal. Intens gold-blond beer with a faint hazyness and a huge white head. Nice aroma’s of blond malts, honey, white stonefruits, dry cakes and hops. Mouthfeel is very lively and refreshing. It has an attack of malts, some white candy sugar, apricot, citrusskin, bread and a dry touch of fine hops. This beer has a mild-dry caracter with a good integration of the alcohol. tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 27, 2005 Bottle, LCBO Gift pack 2004. Yellow colour with large white head. Odd citrusy spice aroma...I can’t place it, like an old banana mixed with pear or something. Weird. Taste is initially boozy and then more spiciness comes through, but so does an odd, not metallic, but something close. Like a musty taste I guess. Way to carbonated mouthfeel and an unpleasant finish from the odd taste. The first of this gift pack I really didn’t enjoy.
