Brewed for the town Damme. Bottle from 1997. Slightly hazy golden coloured. Fruity aroma. Very sweet flavour with lots of mature fruitiness and some raisins.

I became very dissapointed. I enjoy Bornem Dubbel very much, so I thought that their Trippel would be great as well. But no... Faint aroma and not very complex taste. It tastes a little hoppy and very alcoholic. I had it on draught.

Pours a hazy gold colour with a medium head. Sour citrus and spice aroma. Spicy, yeasty, malt and light spice taste. Ok but not special

Frothy and fluffy head with a tinted gold color. A bit of rotten fruit in the aroma. A sour flavor of apple and grape and a tiny share of banana. Dry finish like it says with a acidic overtone.

Did not find the alcohol overwhelming but nicely warming on the coldest day so far. Does not have the head it’s brother does.

Very smooth for 9%, but nothing special. Smells nice, slightly warming and a hint of hops. Next...

75 cl bottle. Best until feb 28, 2004. Still a good head. Malty aroma with some peach and pepper. Sweetish, malty with an upcoming sherry flavor. Some remaining hopbitterness. Alcohol present. Quite OK. Fresh bottle: soft citrusaroma. yeasty, citric flavor. Slightly alcoholic. On the thin side. Fruity character.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours a dirty gold with thick white head that dissipates quickly. High carbonation does not take away from the sweetness. Quite sweet and spicy and I can taste those bananas. Taste gives way to a nice warm finish. Toward the end of the bottle however I’m starting to notice the sourness.
