33cl bottle from LCBO. Pours a hazy light gold with a huge white head with great retention. Real sweet and spicy aroma. Flavour is very sweet up front. Some banana and apple. Still sweet with a little tart and spice in the finish. Some light hops and light alcohol in the finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JDBaker11058 (616) - Maryland, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Appearance: beautiful clear gold with lots of carbonation, huge fluffy white head that remains; prominent lacing. Aroma: white grapes, champagne, a bit of honey, yeast, spices and mild grains. Taste: dry, slightly sweet white raisins with a bit of white wine, some white peppery/citrus notes, and pronounced crackery/wheatish grains. Finish: smooth, dry, clean and crisp. Notes: Very nice tripel. A little less fruity and more malty/grainy than I’m used to, but it worked. Palate was light, but creamy.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 Spelt (206) - East Kingston, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Aroma rather interesting with flowers, honey, and juicy-fruit gum all present. Nice clear golden with thick, white, lathery head. Taste brings out sweetness perhaps a little strong. Bready/yeasty notes as well and then finishes with a floral hop note. Very creamy mouth feel. Just a touch of solvent character. I would drink this again.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 madmitch76 (5176) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2011
25th February 2009 A BBE 27.5.08 bottle stored cool and dark. Cloudy gold beer. Sharp start. Malty spice with a bit of watery grapefruit. Then the alcohol shows but unusually presents as vodka and gin like flavours. Finishes sharp and crisp.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Chickencoop (188) - California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
Huge carbonation, almost blew out of the bottle. Big hazy gold with a monster head. Smell had some booze on the finish. Taste was kind of light, some light bready notes, some sweet fruits. Mouthfeel and drinkability were pretty good considering the massive booze. I liked the subtle sweetness, but the almost flat taste and the booze dominant finish made me a one can diane on this...but glad to have tried it.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rejtable (359) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 15, 2011
Very much enjoyed this triple. Flavour not as alchohol pronounced as some, possibly more easy to drink than other triples for that reason. Solid beer, would buy again.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 vikingguy (456) - Chaska, Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2011
Hazy gold color with bright white thick foamy head. Fairly subdued aroma; a little fruity. Taste is mellow wheaty malt, apple and golden raisin and some alcohol. As it warms it mellows and gets syrupy sweet. Aftertaste is a little yeasty. Palate is fairly creamy and carbonated. Overall I was plesantly surprised by this. Good session ale.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ghawener (1220) - San Salvador, EL SALVADOR - JAN 5, 2011
Bottle: suprised by the low rating, I’s very good. Food Pairing: Carbonara Pasta.
