Golden shining and soft feeling in the mouth - perfectly balanced taste - full body and heart warming, a splendid aroma, tickling in the nose - hoppy dry long finish.

A good beer with a malty taste to it. It’s the type of beer to sit back and enjoy. A good experience.

I enjoyed this beer very much, which suprised me. I had recently tried the Petrus Triple which is very pale in comparison to this brew. Initially a great head, intense carbonation. Not too grassy or hay-like. Tastes very much like many triples I had while in Belgium. Good malt balance and the correct balance of spice for the style. I would recommend highly. Good beer with sweets or to relax with.

I really enjoyed this brew, it had a bitterness to it at first that slowly settled away. And it had a very thick long lasting head, however I have not tried anything else from Brouwerij Van Steenberge to compare it to. But I liked this one!

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2005 Head is initially large, frothy, rocky, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (mold, cobwebs), with light notes of bubble gum, plastic, and acetone. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Whew, some malt-liquor-like higher alcohols in this one make it hard to enjoy anything about this other than the appearance. Terrible.

Nice cloudy golden color, little head. Nice yeasty, fruity aroma. Very little in the way of taste, kind of a overpowering sour alcohol presence. Short, dry palate, but as the temp increased close to the end, the flavors got better and the spritzyness subsided.

Champagne beer. Sweet aroma reminiscent of caramel candy. Sugary in the mid and at the end. Did not notice the purported hoppy finish. Was not as dry as expected. Good only as a dessert brew.

Just not up to the triple category in my opinion. Little variation in the taste range for the Van Steenberge line.

Scent of pears, lemon and rice. Rather quaint aromas for an ale. Very interesting. Nice on the palate, not too rich and mildly dry. Medium on the bitter side. Neat thing about this beer...the last sip was excellent as you slug the entire head with the liquid. Wonderful grand finale to a fine ale. :)

A nice mild tripple. with a karacteristic tripple taste. Nice palate.
