| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2005 Bottle from Degarth, thanks. Begian yeast filled the air combined with a sunny lemon. Filled the glass, nice golden with a super huge white foamy head. Taste was good, lemony and light with usual yeast accompaniment. Palate was enjoyable and smooth. Overall I liked this very much, more so than their dbl. An excellent first beer of the day. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Poured a hazy yellow. Very carbonated which lead to a large head. Spicy beginning which leads to a very dry finish. Not really what I look for in a beer. Naka (528), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Shared w/ Juart. Pours a slightly hazy golden color. Lots of effervescent carbonation. A small white head that disappears quickly but leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is a pretty heavy malty nose for a tripel. Butterscotch sweetness with just a hint of fruity esters. The flavor is much more like a tripel. Dry and fruity with a little caramel and a nice balance of bitterness. The body is pretty rich with tons of carbonation. Decent. Much better than the dubbel. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2009 This seems to be a bit underrated here--I think it’s a solid triple. A bit of citrus and a good dose of carmel malts. Floral hop finish. Quite tasty in my book. kevd193213 (519), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2009 750 mL bottle. Golden, slightly cloudy pour with a massive white fizzy head. Aroma of bananas, yeast and faint spices. Taste of Belgian yest, citrus and coriander, with a nice full clean finish. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 10, 2004 Cloudy amber, nearly opaque, floaties. Sparse sudsy head and little apparent carbonation. No lacing. Fascinating menagerie of aromas: lime leaf, caramel, black pepper, barnyard, pina colada, allspice and ginger. Tropical fruit flavors- pineapple/honeydew/plantain/coconut- lightly sweet, spicy, and yeasty. Almost syrupy viscosity. After swallowing, the flavor evolves into toasted nut and caramel, and then a more intense butterscotch and candy corn. Long caramel aftertaste, sticky sweet and a little tingly. Less sugar and more bitterness would be a vast improvement. Hoppy dry finish, my ass. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2007 Bottle Hazy golden pour with huge white head and good lacing. Aroma of banana, bit of hops and lemon. Flavor has a bit of banana and lemon too, not as much on the hops. Smooth. Very well hidden alcohol.
