Pale hazy translucent gold, with a medium quick-diminishing head...intriguing buttermint nose develops a sweet spiciness, nutmeg-pepper-alcohol...soft, highly carbonated mouthfeel, fairly boring flavor overall...light lemon-spiciness, ok, quaffable, but the moderate sweetness, moderate sourness leaves me with...dullness. bhensonb (4406), Woodland, California, USA

Rather mild aromas of yeast spice, malt, and perhaps coriander and a touch of burnt candi. Orange tinged gold color with an impressive white head that diminishes but hangs around. A bit thin bodied with rather coarse carbonation. Heat is noticeable. Flavors are malt, again perhaps coriander, and some floral and/or grassy bitter. It smooths out in the finish, becoming dry and mildly bitter. For hop I will guess grassy. A bit of fruit seems to come out with time. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2005 Light gold coloring witha huge head. The aroma is peaches and nutmeg. Slghtly funky barnyard in the taste. Notes of overripe peaches, nutmeg spice and some slight soap. Finishes with a slightly sour tint of lemon peel zest. The body is thick and massive feeling in the mouth. This is a drier version of the style. tiggmtl (4312), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2005 Strawberries, bananas, cherries and kiwi in the pleasantly fruity, yeasty nose. Hazy golden body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled, white head that lasts throughout. Yeast character is strong - cake dough and plenty of berry like fruits with some candy sugar, honey, leafy (parsley-like) hops and mild finishing bitterness. Sweet nutty flavour lingers pleasantly in the aftertaste. Medium body is quite dry with lively carbonation that engages the tongue and mild alcohol warming. How does this get rated so low? Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Bottle (BB 04/02/06, Bieropholie, Apr-05). BBB63 (4283), La Porte, Indiana, USA

Chocolate and caramel tones. Smooth taste but little outstanding characteristics. Boring, bland tripel. Not recommended. cgarvieuk (4277), Edinburgh, Scotland
