Pours clear golden with small white fizzy head. Smells crisp fruity, as triples do, with some malt and hop flavors underneath, hints of bread and earthy notes. Taste is a lot more like a sweet white wine, fruity, very mild bitterness and not much malt characteristic, but hints of bread. Full-bodied with a slick texture and lots of mouth-carbonation, Bornem Triple finishes with a faint dryness.

Golden blonde, dense white head. Aroma has lime, lemon, citrus. Bitter taste, with grapefruit, coriander . somewhat dry, aftertaste seems a but astringent to me.

Hazy golden color with thick white head. Little fruity aroma. Good alcohol and malty flavor with yeasty notes.

Hazy orange with good head and lace. Thin at the beginning, but expands quickly to an explosion of orange citrus and alcohol. Light floral hops seal the deal. This is a big ale that deserves to be savored.

From the Nice Carrefouir Belgian pack. Just completed the Nice-Cannes marathon, though outside the six hour limit, so no time, no medal and no t-shirt. Bastards. To be honest, this beer isn’t much compensation. Bog standard perfumey strong pale beer with foamy carbonation, Alcohol - hot, harsh, soapy, burning down the gullet. This is crude stuff. No thought, no originality, no finesse. I’d have honestly preferred a strong Euro lager - while it would have also been crude and lacking in originality - at least it would have been sweet, smooth and drinkable. Right, off for a nap now - bloody exhausted.
