From this, you could tell almost immediately that this was going to be a tripel "light". There was some head to it, but not too much. The aroma was a little light, with mainly components of spicy banana and yeastiness. Some alcohol to the taste. The body was definitely on the lighter side. Good, but trending to the lower half of the style. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2003 Golden-orange, slightly hazy. Nice nose. Nose is bright and fruity, candied pears and peaches with some yeastiness. Flavor is off a bit, briefly fruity, but harsh and a bit ascerbic at the end. Pucker-dry, very much like alum. Yeast pour helps mitigate it a bit, but still not a particularly great experience. mjg74 (2001), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Bottled. Pours a hazy yellow color. Big white foam on top. Too big for my liking. Aroma consists of alot of yeast with a little bit of alcohol. A little bit of apple juice as well. Flavor is somewhat bitter and is yeasty. Quite a bit of spice. Some grains as well. Alcohol is well hidden considering the 9% alcohol. A little lacking in depth, but still it is not bad. NJBeerman013 (797), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2002 Sweet, almost meade like. Light golden, very carbonated. Slightly bitter on the palate. Decent, but not a favorite. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2002 Golden bubbling, wonderfully full head with excellent lacing. The first few sips were a problem - could really taste the alcohol. Maybe the temp was a little too cool - as it warmed, it became sweeter and the malts thickened quite a bit. Nice hop finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2003 Has a light golden colour. Nice very frothy head. Aroma and flavour is a little vague. Definately some coriander notes and in a way very fruity. Has a medium lasting in the palate, but is not a beer to be remembered. In the light end of the tripels jb (1063), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Very much a doughy aroma, along with yeastiness and bananas. Yellow with thick fluffy white head. It’s hard to imagine 9 % alcohol in this, very well hidden. Very sharp, bubbly palate, a bit hoppy in the background. Nice.
