Bottle. Cloudy straw color, massive white head and constant carbonation. Aroma full of spice such as nutmeg, corriander, and fruits like apple and orange, and finally honey. Like most belgiums, very bubbly and somewhat thicker palate. Taste gravitates toward sour notes like green apple, then a good balance of hops makes a dry finish. I preferred this one to the dubble under the same label. The sour then dry would tire out taste buds after a while, but hey - these triples should not be treated as session beers. Its different and different is alsway good.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2005 Excellent nightcap. Pours a thick lemon curd colour with a big lingering frothy head. Smells fresh and zesty. Some cookie-like malt and peppery alcohol. It’s full-bodied, with a smooth, fruity middle and a glorious warming finish. Some piney hop notes, too. It’s a big, big ale but a very satisfying nightcap. (Bottle)

Huge snow-white head, takes a minute or two for the large bubbles to subside. Golden colored and just a little hazy. Earthy, bready aroma. Malt and earth flavor. Goes down pretty smooth. Spicy and dry. Not much burn from the alcohol. A steal at $1.99 for an 11 oz bottle.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy light, pale peachy-yellow with white head. Aroma is sour but then turns sweeter, almost getting a brown-sugary malty sweet aroma. Mouthfeel is soft. Flavor lightly lemony-citrus with some breadiness, sweeter malt and yeast flavor. Complex and a great palate. This beer find you in differents etikets.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2008 The Bornem Triple (on draft) is a smooth drink with no excessive hoppyness or malt sweetness. The beer is balanced and a CLEAN finish.

A very good triple. I drunk the 75cl bottle. For triple, thats very important. The 33 and 75 are different beers. Sweet and fruity in the beginning, rather bitter at the end.

Bottle 330ml. Aromatic and tasty. The nose has apple, yeast, and also caramel. Flavour starts with light sweetness, then comes bitterness and some acidity. Medium body, and oily texture. Cloudy yellow, bubbly, with a frothy long-lasting white head.

Colore giallo dorato, schiuma cremosa e molto persistente.Aroma di vino e malto. Corposa, piuttosto alta gradazione alcolica, aroma di malto, un pò dolce inizialmente, forte amarezza nel finale.Lineare

Pours clear golden with small white fizzy head. Smells crisp fruity, as triples do, with some malt and hop flavors underneath, hints of bread and earthy notes. Taste is a lot more like a sweet white wine, fruity, very mild bitterness and not much malt characteristic, but hints of bread. Full-bodied with a slick texture and lots of mouth-carbonation, Bornem Triple finishes with a faint dryness.
