Tastes of much more of the same. Clean finish but with some residule sour and slight metallicness. caesar (3036), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

Clear golden coloured, huge white head, lively carbonation, dusty white wine nose. Aroma is malty, faint hoppy and slight spicy with very odd and unpleasant frozen meat touch. Certainly better than Dubbel . JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2003 Much better and more flavorful than the dubbel!!! Spicy, sugary fruitcake and chunks of yeast. Long dry finish with a quick dash of firey alcohol at the tail end. Not terribly complex or wonderful, but a nice workout on the palate. Awesome with BBQ chicken kabobs. HighGravity (891), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

The head and lace are top notch and the bead is very fine. The palate is dry and spicy with an appetizing bitterness. This beer would make a good aperitif. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2005 Habersham Beverage Warehouse, Savanah, Ga. - 350 ml bottle. Pours a murky, light golden with a fluffy, thick, pillowy white head. Grassy, sweet aroma with hints of spice. Flavor has a lemony tilt to it with brief hints of coriander and maple syrup - odd combnation. Pick up hints of cotton candy and candied sugar in the finish. The combination results in a sort of nut-like mixture which is pleasant, but not taste tempting. Decently thick mouthfeel. Overall an average Tripel.
