Golden shining and soft feeling in the mouth - perfectly balanced taste - full body and heart warming, a splendid aroma, tickling in the nose - hoppy dry long finish.

A nice golden pour with a huge cauliflower head. Unfortunately the beer peaked before I took my first sip. Slightly alcoholic and not a whole lot of flavor. A decent trippel.

Bottle, 330ml. Pours cloudy auburn. Aroma is much too hoppy and a bit if a turn off. However the scent deceives and the taste is very clean and pleasant. Great for a hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark golden beer with a white standing head, high carbonation. Smells fruity. Taste is fruity, some sugar too, malts. Nice and a refreshing beer.

Slightly fruity aroma. Clear golden colour with too much head. Bitter up front with strong alcoholic finish. Heavy to medium body with medium carbonation.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. In the aroma I have grains, bread, alcohol and apple. The clear golden beer has a medium white head. A sweet taste, banana, alcohol. Medium carbonated.

Alengrin (1296) - BELGIUM - AUG 6, 2014
Licensed abbey beer with snow white, moussy, thick but quickly decreasing head and light golden blonde colour, clear but cloudy with protein veils after adding the deposit. Aroma of pale malts, dough, mild herbal hops, orange peel, apple, coriander, straw, pepper, young cheese and wodka-like alcohol, but also some ’chemical’ solvents. Malty, rounded onset, short sweetishness, restricted fruitiness with (too) strong carbonation, quickly turning grainy and ending in a herbal hoppy finish. Very average, another unambitious cliché beer from Van Steenberge.

Fizzy and fairly bitter for a triple. I guess there is one big source of Belgian triple. Very similar to other Belgian triples. Bottle from De Zwart in Wilnis.

Nice and balanced beer. Medium body. You can taste the alcohol a little before the good bitterness at the end.
