Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw, as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw as well as lighter notes of yeast and sulphur, leading to a bitter finish where the notes of straw and sulphur lingers.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very cloudy, golden orange colored body with an inch thick, foamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened pils malts with some bread, a light grassiness, a few fruit notes, and just a touch of DMS. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened and bready pils malts with a balanced, light grassy hopping. A few fruit notes and maybe a touch of sulfur on the flavor before this finishes smooth and clean while drying with a light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste and a soft, lighter carbonation. Overall, a decent Helles. A bit on the flat side when it comes to carbonation, but I thought it worked pretty well with the soft, somewhat sweet maltiness. Balanced and easy drinking enough.

On tap at brewery in half liter mug. Hazy light orange color with one finger head. Faint Hallertau soapy smell. Slightly bitter and simple flavor. Dry finish. Very drinkable.

EithCubes (4199) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Tap at the pub, hazy golden with a soapy white head. Lightly grassy and probably too bitter for a Helles, has a grainy vein running right through it and really has an amateurish homemade quality to it. Crisp, fullish body, and drinkable.

On draft at the brewpub. Hazy golden colored, thick white head. Hoppy nose, bit flowery, hay, malts. Pleasant bitter flavor, thirst quenching. Not very complex, but very easy to drink (no wonder they serve it in half liter mugs). Extra points for drinkability, an underrated quality on Ratebeer imho.

Draught. Hazy yellow with a short lasting head. Peculiar beer this. Aroma is eggy. Flavour is yeast, some lemon and quite a sour bitter finish. Palate is long and dry

Hazy straw. Smells yeasty and doughy with strange fruitiness. Light doughy character. Fresh pale malts. A mellow brew.

Draft @ brewpub. Hazy yellow with stable head and scattered lace. Aroma has some yeast funk and pedio. Soft palate. Tastes better than it smells with nice crisp hop finish. Nutty pale malts add nice balance.

Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 4, 2010
(Draught at the brewpub, Potsdam, 23 July 2010) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, grass and a touch of tropical fruit. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of bread, grass, a touch of tropical fruit and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Kind of average, but refreshing and nice.
