COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Chestnut brown, offwhite foam. Light herbal roasted malt nose. Fruity base flavor, top fermented? roasted malt, herbal notes (juniper, rosemary), dry clayish notes. Sparkly, medium full body, dry mouthfeel. Caramel and honey retronasal. Very interesting aromatics which set it apart from the standard Dunkel.

The beer is dark ruby red in the glass with a high, fine, creamy off-white head. It smells very malty, caramelly and chocolatey-nutty. Starts with lots of caramel and chocolate, paired with a dominant bready flavor and a nutty flavor. The middle part is still very bready and caramelly, in the background very malty-sweet. Goes into a bready-sweet finish with some chocolate and nuts! Excellent Braunbier!

Bottled (From bierzwerg.de). Ambery brown colour with a huge off-white to beige head which leaves some slight lace. Aroma is a bit nutty with some fruity and mild toasted notes as well. Flavour is bready, and quite sweet malts with mild nutty and floral notes. Quite refreshing. Nice wooden and resiny notes in the aftertaste.
