2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a mug.
Appearance: Dark reddish black colour, with short-lived foam.
Aroma: Metallic flavour; later, there’s a hint of coffee and chocolate.
Palate: Thin, watery, low carbonation.
Taste: Sweet, caramel. Slightly bitter aftertaste.
Overall impression: I expected more; it is somehow rare with too little flavour. Also, tried it from flute glass but then it has bad smell.

Well more a Schwarzbier than a porter. But good drinkable. Chocolate aroma hints in the malt body and slight hop aroma in the end.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml. (German style pint). I wasn’t expecting a traditional Porter and didn’t get one despite the name . The nose is text book dark lager vibes..notes of rich caramel, treacely malts , soy sauce , coffee roast . A fatty cumbersome accent . It looks like a glass of cola ... It drunks down quiet burnt , rich and sticky on the palate, . Notes of chewy caramel are gooey and tangy , burnt smoky woody finish . This is typical to style and I like dark lagers like this.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours dark brown into the bottle with a creamy crown that rapidly dissolves. Weak aroma of caramel malts and sawdust. Taste is strongly caramel with a lightly sweet aftertaste that could be, with some generosity, described as brown sugar. Fails to develop further and becomes rather monotone. Not altogether unpleasant, and better than some dark lagers. Not what some might expect for a beer labeled ’porter’.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Bier-Advent Kalender, Switzerland
Dark chestnut color, clean, with medium sized compact head. Some caramel aroma and flavor, rather dry but soft mouthfeel, a bit sweeter in the final, with ordinary bitterness, and light sourness. Clean like a Lager, no top fermentation esters.
Pleasant, more Dunkel than Porter though.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Call it Schwarzbier, call it Porter - this beer has two components that hit the mark of a dark beer for me. It is caramelly and roasty, and it also has a good aftertaste that is long lasting. A great beer that is very recommendable.

Black, seems clear. Frothy, light beige head. Roasted aroma, fruity notes. Similar flavour, bittersweet, rather light.
