EithCubes (3337) - GERMANY - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle by 09/12. Nose sweet sweet chocolate. Deep ruby with some brown, a rocky tan head. Taste begins only semi sweet and dries significantly. A wave of gentle, beautiful roast leads faint ash and much stronger notes of molasses and especially maple syrup (!). Floating fruitiness, time-released caramel, and soft, supportive carbonation in the light-medium body. A subtle pleasure!

Bottle looks a bit complex, but good. Beer in the glass dark, almost black, nice head. Starts mild, soft-malty, not too roasty. More sweet with hints of caramel and chocolate and cacao. Warming soft-malty finish, quite drinkable. Nice!

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Sweet, roasted aroma. Medium body, sweet roast, licorice, burned caramel and a perfumy touch - perhaps a whiff of vanilla. There’s a cardboard edge too. Licorice finish with hardly any hops. 170910
