COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
During the 1800's, when the sun never set on the British Empire, beer being shipped to the Far East always arrived spoiled. To correct the situation, British brewers added large quantities of hops to their pale ales. (Hops act as a natural preservative in beer). The result is an intensely hoppy amber beer. UPDATED: JAN 6, 2008 Draft at the Nashville brewpub, 5/14/06: Nice gluey head on a powerfully dark orange or rust-colored brew. Seductively fruity aroma. Wow ... this is what beer is about. Powerful floral hop bouquet without being overpowering. This is damn near the perfect beer.

One of the best pale’s in the country. Has one many awards to back it. Bottle conditioning lends a full, creamy palate. Excellent hop character and just enough malt. Try it at the Real ALe Fest. if you don’t believe me.

The best micro in Nashville, and one of the better IPA’s being produced on the east coast. Even better from the cask...

Orange-amber body with no head. Palate is nice and smooth, with not too much carbonation. Flavor is super sticky and hoppy, with a whole mess of different hops characters (pine, citrus, and pepper) all dancing together to make a wonderful hop profile that works great. I like!

Cask Conditioned version - on tap at Boscos Nashville. Amber hue with a creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing that really clings to the glass. Heavy hoppy aroma with hints of herbs, pine, and grapefruit. Also detected a slight grainy and bready malt presence. Good balance on the palate, bitter hoppy finish, but not extreme. Dry and lively mouthfeel. A very good American IPA. Seek out when in Tennessee.

Bosco's Fred Scheer does an excellent job with this IPA. Hoppy, smooth and the bitter is just right. Very enjoyable IPA.

Tap - fair thick head, medium amber color, nice hoppy citrusy flavor, not the storngest IPA around, but good none-the-less
