This is the first beer that I've had that was brewed from a recipe in Charlie Papazians' book that I didn't brew myself. I couldn't have brewed it any better. No homebrew taste at all ;.) A good brown ale. Had it cask conditioned, but Charlie autographed a bottle personally to take home!

Pours a dark amber with a thin cream-colored head and thin lacing. Nuts, honey & malt in the aroma and flavor. A good ale, smooth drinking.

Had on tap in Nashville and it was cask-conditioned. Dark brown with tan creamy head, some lacing , medium-bodied. Aroma was what I expected, nutty and sweet with a hint of fruit. The taste was a little less nutty and a little more sweet. Balance was okay, a little more dry hop characteristics would have made this a top-notch brew. Still, it worked great with the steak I had for dinner.

From a sampler: Pours a brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head and thin lacing. Light malt and honey aroma. Medium- to light-bodied with both sweet malt and tart hops flavors. It also has a long and lightly bitter finish. A decent Brown Ale.
