Boscos Dr. Dragica’s Pale Ale | |||||||||||||
RATINGS: 1 MEAN: 2.5/5.0 WEIGHTED AVG: 2.71 IBU: 42 ABV: -
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION So what does a brewer do when, out of the blue, a box containing a new variety of hops grown in Slovenia just shows up at your brewery? Well, a good idea would be to brew beer with those hops. So this guy, Dr. Dragica Kralj at the Hop Research Institute Zalec in Solvenia developed a tetraploid Savinja Golding x diploid Yugoslav male 105/58. (That’s how hop doctors talk!). He named it "Celeia". Then he mailed samples (large samples) to a number of breweries in the United States. To evaluate this new hop, we brewed a batch of pale ale using only these Celeia hops. Dr. Drajica thinks Celeia has high yield potential, pleasant aroma and is high in tannoids. What do you think? Facts: O.G. 1060, I.B.U. 42
