COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Irish brewers traditionally brewed fuller bodied, stronger beers for export to markets outside of Ireland. This stout is representative of that stronger style. Facts: O.G. 1068, I.B.U. 40

On tap. Pours dark red. Sweet caramel, rice, chocolate, soy sauce in the aroma. This is just a bit too sweet for my tastes. The toffee and chocolate flavor is pretty sugary with a bit of soy sauce to balance and a nutty finish. This is much lighter on the palate than I’d expect a foreign styled stout.

Tried this on vacation and was actually pretty impressed with this beer. Silky, with some soy sauce, but overall enjoyable for the environment and situation.

A casked version of this at the Nashville location. Sweet and dry. Poours dark opaque brown/black. Beige head. Chocolate and toffee flavors with a rich dry finish. Somehow a little light, but it seems to work.

Draft at the Nashville location. Pours dark ruby brown with small tan head. light sweet chocolate and malty aroma. Roast chocolate flavor with hints of coffee. Bady was a little on the thin side, with a semi-dry finish. One of the better Boscos’ beers i’ve had.

Draft at Cool Springs location. Dark brown with a frothy off-white head that leaves good lace down the glass. Toffee aromas. The flavor had dark chocolate, coffee, and light roast. Medium to full body with a creamy texture. Very nice.
