3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 phaleslu (3534) - Saint Louis, USA - FEB 6, 2012
Draft in a sampler at Boscos Squared in Memphis. Pours a clear gold color with a small, lasting white head. Aroma of dry grains, caramel, toasted sugars, cracker, straw, and a hint of grass. The flavor followed suit totally- malty, dry, sweet, and crisp. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, malty mouthfeel and crisp finish. This one hit the spot for me more than any others at this brewery. Nice, simple beer.

Clear yellow gold. Light, fresh lemony nose. Clean, crisp and fresh, this is a very sessionable beer. Actually, it’s probably a perfect lawn mower/pool/beach beer. I know lighter styles aren’t popular on this site, but this one is very, very good for the style.

On tap at Boscos Memphis. Filtered orange tan. Thin, steady head. Pretty straightforward, with some nice caramel tones. Quite mellow and sessionable. Not world class, but still very enjoyable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2219) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Location: Draft at Little Rock Brewpub, 8/23/11
Aroma: The aroma is mostly caramel, with some citrus and spice, a solid nose overall
Appearance: The pour is a hazy gold color with a white head and moderate lace
Flavor: The taste is a combination of yeast and malt flavors that is mid sweet and lightly bitter
Palate: This one has and average amount of carbonation to it, with a decently crisp mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
Since this one counts as Tennessee (even though I got it at the Arkansas version of the Brewpub), this will count as state #40. I sure do enjoy knocking off these random milestones. As for the beer, I found it to be a solid German style brew that exceeded my expectations (granted they weren’t that high).

Tap - small foamy head, hazy dark straw color, sweet caramel flavor, very interesting story of how they make this beer
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 b79turner (126) - Alabama, USA - JUL 17, 2011
On tap at Boscos in Nashville. Pours a brownish red color. Not much head. Slightly hoppy, medium carbonation, very light mouthfeel. I can’t say much about this beer...very uneventful at best.

Cloudy pale gold, ok head. Aroma that is a diluted mix of smoke dust and sweet malt. Cereal grain tasting body, with a freshly milled quality. Well-rounded 2-row grain flavor. Light, but not bad.

Reviewed from notes.
Pours a light golden yellow with a bit of a white head. Smell brings a bit of light grain and some very faint hops. The taste has mild caramel though i mostly composed of grain. Very slight, restrained hop bitterness. Light body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Nothing technically wrong with this beer, but its very lacking in flavor.
