COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alt means old in German. Altbiers are traditional ales that were widely brewed in Germany before lager beers became that country's landmark. Copper in color with a nice malty body. (O.G. - 1.056 IBUs-23)

On tap at the brewpub in Nashville. Pours clear dark copper with a nicely formed off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet malt, caramel, and chocolate. Flavor is caramel, chocolate and nuts. Nice for the style, with a good level of attenuation. Medium-bodied with a fairly standard mouthfeel for an altbier. I enjoyed this beer overall. Good for the style.

Draft at Nashville location. White small head with short retention, hazy body, very little carbonation, spotty amounts of lacing, and an orange-brown hue. The aroma was simple--malt and hops. The flavor was malt, hops, some caramel, and finished dry. A smooth mouthfeel and a light-medium bodied beer. Easy to drink, but very basic, low-key for the style. Easily forgettable.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy uncarbonated dark orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and bready. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops breads and mild caramel. An OK brew just nothing special.
