charcot25 (180), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Aug 11, 2007 On draft at the Memphis locale. Billed as a showcase for Glacier hops. Burnished gold body with the biggest head I’ve ever had on a beer at Boscos. Floral, almost minty aroma with some citrus, too. Taste is well-balanced with a good clean bitterness and only a slight resiny citrus American hop flavor. Nice.
kevd193213 (311), Coventry, Rhode Island, USA May 26, 2008 Draught. Copper pour with medium foamy white head. Aroma of citrus hops and vanilla. Taste of floral and citrus hops with a nice sweet finish. NicerInPerson (335), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Nov 28, 2007 On Cask.
The aroma was earthy and woodsy with a light caramel character and a floral and fruity nature. The beer arrived still cascading from the hand pull but ultimately was crystal clear golden amber with an off-white super frothy head which coated the glass with Belgian lace from the top to the bottom (a beautiful pour). The flavor was nutty with a strong caramel, citrus and woodsy character. The bittering was nice with a good balance to the malt presence. The finish was even heading toward dry. The body was medium with a low level of carbonation and a huge creamy texture on the palate. A very nice APA in need of an aroma boost.
Pint at Boscos Nashville. lo_carboy (114), USA Apr 5, 2007 On hand pump at the brewpub in Nashville. Cloudy pale yellowish orange color. Nice hoppiness. Oddly enough I got not onlyt the floral notes, but the citrus character was on the orange side. A nice enough APA, interesting, but not special. SmellGood (296), Memphis, Tennessee, USA Jan 21, 2007 Rating may be a bit low because this beer wasn’t bad. I may have rated this beer comparing with my beloved Bombay IPA which it doesn’t compare. An unfair rating is my belief due to this fact. Guess I’ll have to have another.
