3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ben4321 (2219) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 6, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2012 Location: Draft at Little Rock Brewpub, 3/6/12
Aroma: The aroma is wheat, lemon, clove, other spice and some yeast mostly
Appearance: The pour is rather hazy, looks like pulpless orange juice without any head or lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-plus sweet, with some spice, and a light acidic tartness
Palate: The body is rather light, with a tingly carbonation, and late tart/acidic feel
Overall Impression:
This was an alright wheat beer, it has a decdent citrus presence and some light tartness. I didn’t get the banana presence that some of the employees told me to expect. Decent stuff, but unexciting.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hotstuff (3249) - Indiana, USA - OCT 3, 2009
Draft at Nashville location. Small white head that mostly diminished, cloudy body, visible carbonation, no lacing, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma was sweet, bananas and citrus. Ditto for the flavor and thin tasting. The mouthfeel was smooth and this is a light bodied German Hefe. Easy to drink, but it lacked a lot of the characteristics that one comes to expect with this beer style. This one is easy to forget for me.

Draught in Nashville at Boscos. Pours cloudy yellow with a white film and edgy head. Yeast and wheat, banana and clove aroma with citrus hop nose. Sour, sweaty yeast (leather) and light malt (grain) flavor with a lightly acidic citrus hop finish. Light bodied and fizzy.

Hazy light yellow with a fizzy white head. Very faint malt aroma and a faint banana bread taste.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 SmellGood (336) - Memphis, Tennessee, USA - JUN 8, 2007
Really unfair for me to rate because definitely not my style. After consuming, I couldn’t shake the banana aftertaste. Probably a great example of this style but not to my liking.
2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Butters (3013) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 14, 2008
Draft at Cool Springs. Hazy vibrant yellow pour with no head. Amazing banana, citrus, clove, and a hint of pepper, not much yeast aroma. Flavor has a sweet cloying start, turns to a bad funky cardboard finish. How can a beer that smells soooo good taste so bad? I’m guessing it must have been a bad keg. I’ll have to sample again.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 maltdog (587) - Colorado, USA - JUN 26, 2006
Nashville. Opaque grayish taupe-y yellow, almost no foam. Banana, baby powder, and plasticy bandaid phenol aromas. Tastes of water with lemon, flour, paper. Very low carbonation. Watery and pastey in the mouth.
