| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 8, 2007 Wow. Pours a dark brown, almost black with ruby red highlights. Flavors are of whisky, smoke, chocolate, vanilla, perhaps some oak. Finish is slightly sweet but a tad on the thin side. This ranks as my favorite non-seasonal beer from the top brewer in Memphis. Unbeatable from the cask! jzzbassman (856), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 24, 2007 On Tap at Memphis. Really nailed what I would think of as hallmarks of the style, other than not having the proper finish, thin and dry. Otherwise, smoky and malty flavor went very well with the gorgonzola and pear salad they suggested. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2007 A clear mahogony pour with a guey lacing. A aroma of rich malt and hops. A flavor of mucho malt with a nice sufficent hop profile to really balance this beer out. A slightly thin palate and a tad over carbonated. Overall a good beer . The flavor as it should carries this beer. allfreej (376), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2006 On tap, Bosco’s, Little Rock. Poured dark brown, with a tan head. Malty, smoky nose, with a peaty, smoky, malty flavor with hints of caramel. The finish was nice, with a hint of hops in the finish. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Nashville. Clear chestnut brown, creamy head, good lacing. Weird blend of fruity (apple, plum), sweet tobacco, and lubricated condom aromas. Malt and roasty with an off-style but pleasant bitter finish. Buttery palate. By far the best Bosco’s brew I’ve tasted. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

This ranks as my favorite non-seasonal beer from one of the top 2 brewers in Nashville (Boscos and Yazoo)
