Cask at Nashville. Pours a deep chocolate brown with a very nice light brown head. Great retention and lacing. Aroma of bourbon and vanilla. Texture and mouthfeel is a tad too thin for my personal tastes. Flavor is sweet, slightly fruity, with very dominant bourbon and vanilla. There is very little dark roast, hops, or char to balance it out. But its still a good beer. A little more body and balance, and this would be a GREAT beer in my book.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2007 Bottle Conditioned Memphis: Maybe I’m not sophisticated enough to enjoy this beer but I could not get past the JD. Did not realize bourbon would be so prominent therefore lowering this rating.
