“Alt” is German for “old” and refers to an old style German brown ale that was commonly brewed in Germany before lager beers became that country’s standard beer. Brewers in and around Dusseldorf still brew altbiers, which are often aged for extended periods of time in order to gain some lager characteristics. Simply put, Little Rock Alt is a malt accented German style brown ale that we aged for over three months.

This has a different OG and IBU’s than the Germantown Alt produced in Nashville. On tap at the Little Rock location. The body was dark ruddy copper. The aroma was sweet caramel with some peaches. The taste was bread crust with some hints of caramel. There were also some fruity esters, like peach. Nice.
