COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porter is a London style that became extinct until revived by North American craft breweries. London Porter is a robust beer with a chocolaty palate, a rich ebony color and Fuggles and Kent Goldings varietal hops from England.

Clear black hue with a thin and sticky light beige head. The nose has some earthy caramel and some biscuity chocolate. The flavor is much the same, soft and medium bodied. Light caramel and light biscuity tones with a very light and semi-dry chocolaty tones. Meh.

shadey (1916) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2013
On tap as part of sampler. Dark amber color with minimal head. Lightly chocolaty and lightly bitter. This whole beer strikes me as a little thin and watery from appearance to finish. Perhaps they were trying to be truer to style, but I prefer the Americanized version of this beer.

Pours dark molasses brown. Moderate head moderate lacing. Prominent dark chocolate and espresso combination that is a great balance of sweet and bitter. Mild carbonation and medium body. Long finish of mild bitter hops and roasted malt. This is one of their best beers.

seymour (1478) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Tasted on tap at Nashville brewpub in standard pint glass. Opaque dark brown color with creamy beige head. Some retention and lace. Bready, nutty, hints of dark coffee and chocolate. Conservative hops bitterness, very little in aroma. Fruity ale yeast esters. Medium carbonation, crisp dry finish. Satisfying, true-to-style porter, but otherwise unmemorable.

Strykzone (5074) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Sampled at Bosco’s Squared in Memphis. Dark brown with a bit of red. Big roasted notes and a well hopped porter. This brewery seems to like well hopped beers. Decent chocolate and coffee. Those hops make this a different take on a classic style. Nice.
