3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap as part of sampler. Dark amber color with minimal head. Lightly chocolaty and lightly bitter. This whole beer strikes me as a little thin and watery from appearance to finish. Perhaps they were trying to be truer to style, but I prefer the Americanized version of this beer.

Conservative hops bitterness, very little in aroma. Fruity ale yeast esters. Medium carbonation, crisp dry finish. Satisfying, true-to-style porter, but otherwise unmemorable.

Sampled at Bosco’s Squared in Memphis. Dark brown with a bit of red. Big roasted notes and a well hopped porter. This brewery seems to like well hopped beers. Decent chocolate and coffee. Those hops make this a different take on a classic style. Nice.
