COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porter is a London style that became extinct until revived by North American craft breweries. London Porter is a robust beer with a chocolaty palate, a rich ebony color and Fuggles and Kent Goldings varietal hops from England.

A slight dark brown almost black pour with a gooey clinging lacing. An aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. A decent hops aroma for a porter. Asweet burnt coffee flavor dominates wth a very good bitter finish. A fizzy finish and a tad thin for a porter. Overall o good beer just barely off.

seymour (782) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Tasted on tap at Nashville brewpub in standard pint glass. Opaque dark brown color with creamy beige head. Some retention and lace. Bready, nutty, hints of dark coffee and chocolate. Conservative hops bitterness, very little in aroma. Fruity ale yeast esters. Medium carbonation, crisp dry finish. Satisfying, true-to-style porter, but otherwise unmemorable.

Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Sampled at Bosco’s Squared in Memphis. Dark brown with a bit of red. Big roasted notes and a well hopped porter. This brewery seems to like well hopped beers. Decent chocolate and coffee. Those hops make this a different take on a classic style. Nice.

Draft sample at Boscos Memphis. Poured a clear brown color with an average creamy off-white head that was mostly lasting and produced good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted coffee sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Sold drinkable brew.

Dark brown appearance. Malty, with a chocolatey palate and a hint of coffee? Good, while not being overly complex or pretentious.
