Tasted on tap at Nashville brewpub in standard pint glass. Opaque dark brown color with creamy beige head. Some retention and lace. Bready, nutty, hints of dark coffee and chocolate. Conservative hops bitterness, very little in aroma. Fruity ale yeast esters. Medium carbonation, crisp dry finish. Satisfying, true-to-style porter, but otherwise unmemorable.

Sampled at Bosco’s Squared in Memphis. Dark brown with a bit of red. Big roasted notes and a well hopped porter. This brewery seems to like well hopped beers. Decent chocolate and coffee. Those hops make this a different take on a classic style. Nice.

Poured a clear brown color with an average creamy off-white head that was mostly lasting and produced good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted coffee sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Sold drinkable brew.
