Poured a dark gold/light brown color. Nose was malty with light hops which were (barely) detectable in the taste. Flavors of caramel and fruit were present. Had thin lacing, and the body was quiet light. Better than the average beer, but not an A+ student.

On draught. Light brown pour with a tiny off white head. Aroma of faint malt and hazelnut. Thin mouthfeel, not much to this one. A session for sure with nothing that stands out.

On tap at the brewpub in Little Rock, AR. Pours a lightly hazed, lighter brown colored body with a thin, frothy, beige head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma has a light caramel sweetness, nuts, and some earth. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened and toasted caramels up front with some nuts and a light earth in the middle. Finishes somewhat dry and lightly bitter with some roasts coming out and a light caramel sweetness before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent brown ale. Some nutty sweet caramels with light toast and roast notes. Easy drinking and decent.

Sample at Boscos in Memphis. Pours a nice brown color with small off-white head. Aroma of roasted nuts, caramel, brown sugar, malts, chocolate. Taste is malty with some caramel. A smooth taste. There is some hop character at the end with some bitterness, and the palate is lightly thick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great description. Fantastic write-up. Valiant effort. High goals. But I’m afraid a bottled Newcastle beats this on tap. Not a bad beer, just not a memorable/unique beer.

Poured a dark brown with a medium white head. Very little aroma with this but did detect a bit of malt.. Flavor was heavy with caramel with a bit of roasted malt.. very sweet but very good. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation..
