On tap at the brewery at Franklin. Dark amber color - much clearer than the Scottish. Malty and mild English hoppy aroma. Taste is smooth crystal malts and English hops. Very drinkable, though not quite as much as the normal Scottish at Boscos.

Draft at the Cool Springs location. Head was fading and off-white. Body was brown with amber notes. Smells of roasted malts and a hint of smoke. Flavors include roasted, toasted, caramel, malt, and a note of bacon. Good balance.

Draft at Cool Springs location. Brown in the glass with a creamy off-white head that had a thin layer lasting and good lace. Subdued malts in the aroma. The flavor found sweet malts, nuts, and a hint of smoke. Medium body and a sweet aftertaste. Enjoyable.

On tap at the Nashville brewpub. Poured a dark amber with red highlights and a thin off white head. The aroma was sweet malt, nuts and some smoke. The flavor reflected the nose, with smoke and nuts present, along with a sweet malt base. The palate was average with good carbonation, a medium body and a chewy mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this beer.

Tap in Little Rock 2/21/07. Coca-cola color with a very light head. Malty nose and flavor but served too cold.. ABV around 8.5%. A little diacytel. Good beer.

Bottle-conditioned: I think this beer being in a bottle may have helped it’s rating. Sweeter than I typically like but very appreciated. A bit overly carbonated but probably due to the bottle...will re-rate when on draught.

Bottle conditioned, shared with Kevin. Pours dark amber with a wisp of a head. Initial flavor of sweet malt, nuts, raisens, and a hint of smoke. Slightly bitter acidic finish. One of Boscos best beers. I wonder why the ABV is not listed. This one may not be a true Wee Heavy due to stupid TN liquor laws
