Can from Polish shop in Hamstead (name to follow). Certainly not offensive. Certainly quite sweet. Drinkable. Ale-most sickly. Geddit? I’ve had worse. And better.

500ml can from Gorgie mini-market. Pours clear honey-gold, thick, foamy white head. Light aromas of malt, light grass, not much going on. Taste is light sweet, bit of honey maybe. Light astringent finish. Pretty standard cooking lager.

Chilled can ironing. Gold with a sad retreating head. Nose chiefly rubber, almond and lemon sponge with plenty of alcohol presence. Full bodied, papery, glycerined mouth oozing marzipan, weak shrub, late salvaging corn and rice. Not a tipper but the 4 pack will be a challenge.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml can: BBD 23rd Sept 2014. Obtained from a Eastern Block store in Boston, Lincolnshire and drank at my parents on 21st May 2014.
Typical lager/pilsner look: bright, clean and clear, mid-golden colour with a white head that did try to hang around a little. Odourless, mild malt and grass hints, but very minute smells to explore. The taste was slightly sweet with light maltiness pushing any hop bitterness into the background. OK, but nothing different to so many beers of this style and type.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Faint aroma of yeast and hops, with subtle touches of malt. Bitter flavour pf cheap malt and yeast, with some hoppy notes and an awful lot of water. Unpleasantly bitter aftertaste. Poor.
