3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, - SEP 3, 2006
Bottled. Sweet aroma with chocolat malts and a hint of sourness. Dark brown color, light brown head, cloying, good lace. Very sweet, sugar, nutty, chocolat, light bitter, light roasted but more in the very finish. Sticky and a bit thin. Candy-like but I didn’t dislike it. Especially compared to other Polish beers.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 27, 2012
27-Feb-12 (500-ml bottle) Pouring a ruby-brown body and a fleeting, half-inch of light-tan head, this malty beer offers aromas of caramel, brown sugar, dark bread, and toffee. The flavor is similar, but the sweetness does seem to be rather sugary. Brown sugar, caramel candy, toffee, dried fruit, maybe some cocoa, not particularly exciting. Medium-plus in weight, medium in carbonation, perhaps a bit cloying. Not bad, but I’m not really wanting to finish this bottle off.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jkwood04 (1402) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 22, 2011
500ml bottle in a stem glass. Pours deep rubyish brown with a light tan head. Aroma of bread, nuts, caramel for the malts, hints of floral hops, and hints of dark fruits. Flavor about the same, but pretty light on everything. Average texture. An alright beer.
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
