3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Tops @ Spar, Cape Town. Aroma of caramel malts, some sugars, bread and a bit hoppy. Flavor is slightly bitter, malty and with a nice body for such a light brew. Enjoyable and refreshing.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From Banana Jam Cafe, Kenilworth, S.A. Weaker than the beers I usually go for, however, watching whales from Hermanus a few days before it had to be done. Nothing really inspiring here, hints of caramel & malt, light hoppy finish. An O.K. beer on a sunny afternoon, that’s about it.

Dark amber color with creamy head. Light caramel aroma and flavor, dryish, weak body; low bitterness without the Hallertau promised; some esters.
Simple but quaffable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really great beer. I would like a heavier ale but this one is awesome. Found it on tap at the news cafe at the artscape. This is my first time having stand I’m new to the brewery but would like to try more. It has nice and wheaty nose and i love the colour of the ale. The palate is filling and tasty. amber, hazy, tan foam,

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dark amber with thin head. Aroma is a little appley. The palate is a little appley. The palate is a little towards sewagey diacetyl stuff. Not much bitterness. Bland, sweetish brew, but with too many faults to be enjoyable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle, thanks sister) Pours dark amber to copper with a small sand-coloured head. The aroma holds caramel/fudge, grain, hay and canned fruits up front. Light grassy, buttery and tiny compost-like undertones. Surprisingly “big” nose considering the low alcohol content. The flavor is light to medium sweet, tiny bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of caramel, fudge, light fruit, hay and grass. The mouthfeel is fairly clean and watery with a near medium carbonation. Light crisp. Abrupt finish with a watery caramel touch. Light bodied. Not too bad.
