3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 dnas2 (705) - Cambridge, - JUN 22, 2006
Cask Handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold with a very short head. Flowery-limey scent, perfumed with a slight hoppiness. Not particularly bitter, quite sweet. Palate is lovely: thick and silky, but overall it’s just a bit boring.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2008
Cask conditioned at Banbury Berr Fest ’08. Pale gold with light head. Very light on aroma and taste, quite a lemony hop with a touch of ripe wheat thrown in. A touch sweet, but this is more to do with the ABV. A pretty reasonable Premium Bitter.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2006
A Mes rate: Cask @ PBF. Very very very hoppy. All citrus and floral. Just about the hoppiest beer I have tried. Finish is never ending. Think I can still taste it now.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2007 Re-rate; Old Oak, Horsley Woodhouse. And the joys of sampling a beer at the brewery tap (or, in this case, the brewery’s pub). Fresh, fresh, fresh - spritely hopped, a sweetness that’s now more sorbet than sponge pudding, good enough to spend the rest of the lunchtime drinking.
Original rating: 3. Cask (gravity) Leicester BF. Some good hoppiness to start with, slight sweetness veers toward gloopiness. OK but a little heavy-handed.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Leicester BF. A yellow golden coloured beer. The aroma has some nice citric hop - Amarillo is said to be used - but there is a little toffee noted. The taste is sweet and syrupy. Some lemony citric hop but it’s all too heavy and sweet. Alcohol is noticeable but it struggles to hold its strength.
