Aromas are mostly malt focused, caramel, almonds, with some dark, cherry-like fruity notes. Clear ruby with a lasting, beige head. Off-dry and almost salty, with some nutty and woody flavors. Medium bodied with fluffy carbonation, and finishes leaving behind dry, earthy flavors.

Sampled from a bottle. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee malts, earthy hops and pale malts. The taste is toffee, earthy notes, crackery malts and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottled. In my opinion, it's really more of a brown than a red. Malty, lingering finish. -via BBapp

Botttle. Aroma is nutty and a slight bit of anise. Nice dark red color, with little head. Taste is kind of flat, but with lots of malt, finishing a bit bitter. Overall interesting beer considering its one of only two this brewery makes as of right now.

Pours brown with red hue and beige head. Has the aroma of sweet malty caramel. Very nice taste of hops, caramel, molasses, and a lingering yeast taste. Medium bodied. Nice

12oz bottle at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock, AR. Pours a deep brown-red colored body with a thin, creamy, tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is nutty caramels with some dark fruits, wet grains, and a hint of earth. Flavor is sweet and nutty caramels with some crystal, dark fruits, and grains up front before a light toast and roast note comes in to help dry this alongside a light earthy bitterness. Medium length aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, this wasn’t bad, but it was unremarkable. Sweeter nutty caramels with some toast, dark fruits, and earth. Eh...
