Bottle. Nice artwork, crappy beer. This stout had to much hop character that just didn’t go with the style clashing in every aspect of the flavor. I don’t want to write anything more big disappointment.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, brown, mostly diminishing. Body is opaque black (flashlight tested). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, dark chocolate, grapefruit), moderately hoppy (resin), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of vanilla and alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bot moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Not bad, but nothing special.

Penetrable molasses-brown. Thick and rocky caramel head clings nicely and displays excellent retention. Massive aroma showcases grapefruit and plasticy phenolics amid deeper notes of cocoa, espresso, seared malt, toffee and a touch of black cherries. Quite alcoholic. Expressive carbonation. Bottle conditioned. Gooey residual sweetness collides with sharp roast as an ashy and fudge-drizzled espresso bean mix rapidly grows increasingly bitter. Onset of brash phenols soon compound the bitterness of the char. Fruity esters are flabby and mostly overshadowed by the omnipresent sweetness. Hints of overripe plums and blackcurrants are unable to salvage any brightness. Metallic char tingles the palate as the fudge immediately engulfs it. Highly acidic and graceless, largely due to the copious amount of hops and roast. Perpetually unclean finish, bitter and rife with brash phenols and aspirin, citric hops, and ashy roast. I suppose if you like a beer which sacrifices finesse for a kitchen-sink approach, then you ought to love this.

<b>22oz bottle, have sampled many times since it’s release.</b> This is one of those beers that completely worked in almost every way for me, and it only gains strength in character as it ages. Pours dark as night with the perfect imperial stout reddish tanned head. Deep roasty malt and cocoa aroma. Thick, full bodied coffee, roasted grains, dark chocolate, and molasses make up some of the flavors in this brew. Ending with a powerful hop bite towards the end, this dark wonder is definitely one to cherish, especially at this point &#40;and it has some cool artwork too!&#41;...

Black with a tan head. Nice roasted malt chocolate smell. Full bodied with a smooth, slick mouthfeel. Taste is dry blackened malts and dark roasted grains with a dar.k chocolate sweetness.in the middle. Finishes with a nicely bitter coffee/alcohol bite. 41906
