Huge, dense and fine white head, some lace, over hazy, well-carbonated lemonjuice-coloured beer. End of bottle releases a load of unsavoury looking UFO’s. Yeast, bread and oregan or marjoram. Smells for all the world like one of these Italian foccacias, with a dash of lemon. Forceful spicy-aromatic oregan flavour, including the bitterness this herb can indue, when used too liberally. Dry-spicy, but the wheat (I guess) and probably other ingredients make it refreshing, ever so slighlty sourish. I still get an impression of pizza where they forgot the tomato and mozzarella. Warming up, another herb comes forward: liquorice, but then really like when chewing a stick of sweetroot. Quite carbonated, very light body, I wonder about the claimed 6% ABV. Messieurs/dames This isn’t a beer with a flavour reminiscent of marjoram/oregan. Here, I bet the herb has been used indeed. If so, why not come clean about it on the label? And something else to consider, in the language of Herr Goethe: In der Beschränkung zeigt sich erst der Meister...
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 sebletitje (5416) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 23, 2012
33cl bottle, BB 04/2014. Yet another ’gem’ from the ever increasing brand of more than avergage Bouillon beers. This one might be an ’étiquette’ version of the dozen or more beers that all taste the same.

15/IX/2012 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: IV/14 (2012-1033)
Clear yellow beer, some small yellow sediment floating around, small irregular head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: oregano, wtf? More oregano. Man, it’s all I can smell. And I don’t like it too much. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of oregano, some citrus, more oregano, little bitter. That’s it. Oh yeah, and oregano. Seriously. Drain pour!
