Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a caramel-tan color with a medium sized foamy white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweetish honey with chamomile and a light earthy undertone. The flavor was bitey with notes of bread, chamomile, honey, perfume and white zinfandel. Long bread, honey, chamomile and zinfandel finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol fairly well hidden. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 pilgrimoutlaw (508) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
On tap at UJs. Golden pour with foamy white head. Smells funky and floral like a sour, but aromas of honey, dough, banana on the tongue. Moderate/high sweetness, low bitterness. Full bodied and dry. Interesting beer. I’m surprised that this has been getting relatively low ratings.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 ContemplateBeer (1176) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Aroma of honey malts, white grape, some dough. Appearance is tinted gold with white head. Flavor is kinda phenolic with some dough and honey; alcohol is present, but not overwhelming. Palate is medium, creamy and very soft. Fine.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Suttree (4498) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Interesting that this is classified as a Belgian Strong Ale, because I was thinking that it was too heavy, too boozy, just too much to be saison. I get a little honey and lemon, and bit of over the top alcohol. Nothing very unique. In fact, we ended pouring a lot of it out just because we didn’t want to choke down an 11% beer when we have a fridge full of stuff we like...
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 maxwelldeux (2368) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Draught. Pours a light amber color with a moderate head. Nose is both sweet and sour, which is a bit odd. The honey comes through in both the taste and nose, but the sourness of the style dominates. Finishes with a bit of a bite.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 thornecb (3689) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Honey and yeast aromas. Soft with sweet caramel upfront turning to dusty yeast and mild earthy bitterness before the lasting hot, sweet honey finish.
