Cask Handpump at the Boulder Beer Company, Boulder 15/09/2010 (As Flashback French Oak) Oaked aroma. Amber coloured strong in alcohol fruity and hoppy. Smooth on the palate with a vanilla flavour. Bitter in the finish.

On nitro at Boulder Beer Anniversary party. Cloudy brown with creamy nitrous head. Lots of bourbon and vanilla cream in nose. Lots of bourbon notes throughout behind overshadowed hops. Seems like barrels were too strong for this brew - bourbon dominates. At least BB is starting to barrel age.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Dark brown color with a thin layer of white foam. Hoppy and malty aroma with a very nice bourbon and oak hint with a touch of vanilla. Flavor starts off with a very smooth and subtle wood and vanilla bourbon combination moving to the hoppy and malty combination of the beer itself. The bourbon doesn’t overpower it but really lends a nice sweetness to it. Really nice and glad I got a chance to try it.
