Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a light golden yet clear yellow body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipates leaving some slightly thick clingy lacing that spiderwebs a bit. The smell has a mostly sweet maltiness goin’ on with a light corn in the background. The taste is sweet all the way through the malts, corn and adding a bit of breadiness. There is a corn aftertaste with sweet finish. On the palate, its about a light, and is sessionable. Carbonation is accurate for the style and is good for me. Overall, this is a good American Blonde Ale, most likely better with food with a decent refreshing aspect to it.

May rate low by others but this is a golden ale and appropriate for the style. Aroma is mild American hops and caramel malts. Flavor is mild but with biscuity, caramel flavors and mild hop bitterness. Overall it is an easy drinking craft ale targeted towards entry level consumers but is still respectable for true craft beer aficionados.

Draft. It wasn’t bad, really because I had 3 pints during a christmas party. One should not judge beer during a party, so, as an example of why not, I two point five it.

12oz. Btl. Pours Amber, fizzy and little to no froth. Taste is bitter and flat. Aroma is minimum, but present. Palate is flat and the finish is dry. Overall; very respectable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Total beverage Westminster. Pours golden with a thin white head. nothing on the nose. A little bit of oilyness on the tongue. Otherwise there’s not much there. It does finish clean. More Meh! than Eh!

On tap. Heady golden yellow pour. The waitress in the hotel where I had this told me there were air bubbles in the tap line. Mild caramel malt and biscuit nose. The body is light to medium with a vague acidity. The taste has a toasted maltiness and a low but clean hop finish.

December 30th, 2011 - Running on the heels of my first Boulder Beer taster is the Buffalo Gold Premium Ale of the same brewery. Pale gold and clear in color, a slight head resolves into the liquid, leaving little to no smell - a muted graininess that offers little for my nose to explore. The same goes for the taste - transparent with some mineral water cleanliness and directness, but otherwise flat, and tasting a bit like corn and corn tortillas. Not much here - hoping the next taster is an improvement.
