Commercial Description:
Introducing Cold Hop British-style ale, a unique ale with a rich golden hue, and the 7th release in our Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. Cold Hop's pleasantly fruity, floral hop aroma and earthy flavor perfectly balance the mild sweetness of the English grains, resulting in a refreshing yet high-gravity British-Style ale.

Pours the color of honey w/ a full, creamy froth. Head retention is superb receding to a full silky canopy w/ some spattered islands and a complete creamy ring of lace. Aromas of fresh malted herbs and aged citrus rind. Full nectar w/ ample, creamy residual effers. Nice! A big malty backbone supports a bright hop component. Flavors come alive w/ a brisk force and splatter layers of aged malts on top of refreshingly snappy hops. Mildly sweet w/ rustic nuances of citrus rind and mild caramel. The finish is bittered perfectly and dry leaving a nice hop burn to linger. I want more! Very well balanced. I can taste the English influence. Highly recommended.

Very fragrant, reminiscent of the aroma of a Double IPA or a fresh-hop harvest ale. Flavor has sweetness and body is much like a sticky resinous hop-bombing IxPA. The hop character is very played up in pretty much every aspect except for flavor, which is medium-strong-hoppy by mainstream standards. Definitely worth coming back to, especially at the modest price. I recommend this, and the RB average has dropped the ball on this somewhat. Something of this quality would get around a 3.7 RB average in a true, fair blind tasting.

Great aroma and hops flavor. Has a smooth sweet finish and tastes better than a lot of IPAs I’ve had. This is a great beer.

12 oz. bottle pour. Wonderful hoppy aroma, nice off-white head. Nice hoppy bitterness, with a touch of malt. Perhaps a bit over-hopped, but I like it.

Had this while watching the Buckeyes steamroll Purdue. Nose of citrus & pine, dried fruit, perfume and flowers. The brew pours a sparkling copper. The big fully lasting super stiff & fluffy white creamy head leaves fair lace. The brew is mostly like a good APA with decent bitterness, moderate acidity and a healthy citrus presence. The finish is great, but more session than over the top. The medium body is soft to lively and super creamy. The finish feels crisp. A pleasant surprise.
